D.B.M.S. Girls High School was established in March, 1961. The founder Secretary was       Mrs. Bhanumati Neelakantan and members whose active co-operation made the institution renowned in the Steel City were Mr. & Mrs. Saraswati Anant, Mr. & Mrs. Shakuntala Raja,     Dr. Dharmambal, Mr. Kalyan Krishnan and others. This is the first school that came into being under the Samaj's umbrella.

The School was started in 1961 with 13 students and Mrs. Meera Pakrashi was the founder Principal of the school. Mrs. W. Toppo was the first teacher and she later became the Principal from 1977 to 1998.

The School was recognized as Higher Secondary school till 1975, thereafter secondary school system was started.

All round development of student is the prime aim of the school and students actively participate in many activities winning prizes in many inter school competitions.

DBMS Girls High School

The school conducts many activities like drama, music, dance, fine arts, gym, tabla, spoken English and promotes career oriented activities like mehandi.

This torch bearer of the D.B.M.S. family celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2011.
