Laurels for city students
Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Eighteen students of DBMS Lilliput School have bagged the bronze standards of the International Award for Young people instituted by UK-based Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association.
DBMS Liliput School is a ‘project’ school for underprivileged students. The students of Classes IX and X were feted at the annual awards ceremony of International Award for Young People in India, Duke of Edinburgh, held at Gyan Manch in Calcutta on December 9.
Silver among global 60 - Steel city cradle stands out
Jamshedpur, Nov. 16: A dinosaur out of e-waste?
Innovative thinking by a school has added a prestigious feather in the steel city’s academic cap. Students of DBMS English School have bagged the first runners-up trophy at Quanta International 2010 in Lucknow, among 60 teams of which 20 came from abroad.
Organised by City Montessori School (CMS), Chowk branch, Lucknow, the 16th year of this global inter-school competition was held between November 9 and 12, in which students from across India and Russia, Malaysia, Jordan, Nepal, Czech Republic, Thailand, Singapore, Germany and Finland took part.
Open doors for weak students
Jamshedpur, June 14: Failed to pass matriculation exam and don’t want to lose the year? Opt for DBMS Career Academy and appear for the board test through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) this October.
“The NIOS has a very flexible system of learning that helps students to complete the matriculation without wasting an academic year. Students from boards like CBSE, ICSE or Jharkhand Academic Council can sit for the tests,” said K. Uma, the principal of DBMS Career Academy.

Jamshedpur, June 24: DBMS English School today honoured those students who were selected by the All India Industrial Tennis Ball Cricket Board (AIITBCB) to represent it in the junior and sub-junior national tennis ball championship.

Schools win excellence tag - International accreditation for DBMS, Kerala Samajam
Jamshedpur, May 24: DBMS English School and Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) have become the first schools in Jharkhand to bag the International School Award (ISA) accreditation instituted by British Council.
The two schools, which applied for the accreditation last year, were successful in fulfilling the criteria necessary for the recognition. About 90 schools were in the fray for the tag. At present, there are about 150 schools in the country which have got the accreditation, which is valid for three years. The British Council International School Award recognises and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
