D. B. M. S. English School honours its students every year for excelling in academics. In the morning assembly of the school 62 students were awarded Rs. 200 per subject for 134 subjects for having secured 90% and above marks in a particular subject in all the three terminal examinations of the academic session 2007-2008. The Management of the School Managing Committee today distributed cash awards to the tune of Rs. 26,800. Mrs. Kamala Subramanian, Secretary (Adm.), Mrs. Jaishree Hariharan, Secretary, Mrs. Lakshmi Varadharajan (Treasurer), Mrs. Rajani Shekhar (Principal), Mrs. Alpana Chalil (Vice-Principal) gave away the awards to the awardees.
