When Independence Day draws near can patriotic songs be far behind? Patriotic Songs can never take a backseat in the month of August. On 10th August, the Jyoti Club of D. B. M. S. English School hosted the Inter School Desh Bhakti Geet Competition to spread the spirit of nationalism. Twelve local cradles participated in this event. The spirit of nationalism rented the air as the twelve member choir from each school sang with fervor and tapped their feet to the patriotic tunes.
Father Jaison Joshua, the Jyoti Co-ordinator graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Father along with the Principal of D. B. M. S. English School, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar lighted the inaugural lamp.
Mr. Biplob Kumar Mitra, Mrs. Atoshi Mitra and Mrs. Amrita Rao spared their valuable time to officiate as judges. The efforts of the Jyoti Club Moderators, Mrs. Annu Beri, Mrs. Kamala Venkat, the Activity Co-ordinator, Mrs. Renu Arora along with the Jyoti Senate made the program a grand success.
