Recent Events

The Global Handwashing Day was organised on 19th october'16. The students of Std KG1 were taught how to wash their hands and were given information on importance of cleanliness.

The Stationery Drive was conducted on 10 th and 11th of November '16 in the memory of late Mrs. Lakshmi Vardarajan, Secretary of the School Managing Committee. Every student of DBMS Liliput School from the Kadma, Sonari , and BH Area were given stationery items.

Happy Diwali

The SAFE Club of the school, organized a rally on 26th October, to spread awareness on celebrating a safe Diwali. Around 300 students carried placards with safe Diwali messages and marched in the vicinity of Professional flats and nearby areas. The students of Std 3 carried placards and shouted slogans and went around the school to spread the message. 

Special assemblies were held in the Primary and Middle school levels to promote the importance of celebrating Diwali in a safe way. 

Healthy Food Day

Healthy Food Day was celebrated by the students of KG II on 3rd August 2016. The students were taught the importance of eating healthy to stay fit. They were encouraged to avoid junk food and brought with them sprouts, fruits, and salads to munch during tiffin time. They also made and displayed worksheets on the topic of Healthy food.

Friendship Week

The students of KG-I rang in the month of August by celebrating Friendship Week. They were taught the importance of friends through stories, worksheets and audio visual aids. The celebrations culminated by tying Friendship bands on each others’ wrists on 5th August 2016.

TATA Young Expression 2016

Anish Srivastava, of Std 2C, was placed first in the event “Shutterbugs”, at the TATA Young Expression 2016. He received his award from the TATA Group Chairman Mr Cyrus P Mistry, on 28th July 2016 at Taj Palace, Mumbai.

Waste Not, Want Not

The toddlers of KG-I, organized “Waste Not, Want Not”, a rally to generate awareness about the importance of food. They encouraged everyone to value food, recycle food, and to donate left overs to the poor and needy. They also collected dry food like biscuits and cakes for donation to the Voice of Humanity organization. The rally was flagged off at 10.30 am and was witnessed by students, teachers, parents and residents of the neighborhood.

Cash Award for Students

121 students from Std 7 to 12 who scored 90% and above in a particular subject in all the three terms in the previous Academic Year, were given a Cash Award of Rs 200/- per subject, in a special assembly held on 29th June 2016.

Thank You Thursday

The primary section and middle school celebrates the importance of values, and shows gratitude to their parents, teachers, friends, helpers in the school, van drivers etc, by saying thank you. 3 students and 1 teacher say thank you to a person of their choice in the morning assembly every Thursday.
