Fr. Jaison Joshua and Mrs Rajani Shekhar lighting the lampWhen Independence Day draws near can patriotic songs be far behind? Patriotic Songs can never take a backseat in the month of August. On 10th August, the Jyoti Club of D. B. M. S. English School hosted the Inter School Desh Bhakti Geet Competition to spread the spirit of nationalism. Twelve local cradles participated in this event. The spirit of nationalism rented the air as the twelve member choir from each school sang with fervor and tapped their feet to the patriotic tunes.

Father Jaison Joshua, the Jyoti Co-ordinator graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Father along with the Principal of D. B. M. S. English School, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar lighted the inaugural lamp.

On 31st July, 2013, the Middle School student (Std. IV to VI) of D. B. M. S. English School organised a “Food Festival” for the ongoing International School Awards project under the aegis of British Council in their school Auditorium entitled “Momolicious - The Goodness of Momos”. This gave the knowledge of different kinds of momos and dumplings of India as well as partner countries like China, Spain and Nepal. The children prepared charts, wrote essay and learnt the preparation of these nutritious food as a healthy option to junk food.

May Day was celebrated at D. B. M. S. English School on 1st May, 2013 - All Malis, Aaya Didis, Bahadurjis were honoured. All of them received cash and gifts (36 Nos.). Students Senate organized the Games for them. Students sang a song for them.

Gents: Mr. Ramchandra Bahadur declared winner. Ladies: Nishi Didi and Tulsi Didi were declared Joint winners.

The following gave away the prizes and gifts: Mr. B. Chandra Shekhar, Jt. Chairperson., Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Jt. Chairperson, Mrs. Hema Raghavan, Secretary, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal, Mr. P. K. Sahu, Vice-Principal.

International Year of Water Co-operationTo commemorate the ”International Year of Water Co-operation” the KG-I students of our school celebrated “Blue Day” on Friday, 3rd May, 2013 in the school. In the morning assembly they recited the poem and had enthusiastically participated in the Awareness Drive. They went round the school carrying the placard on “Save Water” and “Save Earth”. Painting contest was organized for the children based on “Save Water”.
