Recent Events

Today, 14th June, 2012 - The School Management of the D. B. M. S. English School felicitated their ICSE & ISC - 2012 Batch students for their excellence better performance in the board examinations.

73 Students of ISC Batch were honoured for securing single points i.e. based on English + Best three subjects. In ICSE - 2012 - 38 students who secured upto 10 Points including all subjects were awarded scholarships for free education in classes XI & XII and were presented gifts.

Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal of D. B. M. S. English School has gone to Wales, U.K. alongwith the Principals of five other schools of Jamshedpur as mentioned below under the UKIERI - Global School Partnership Exchange programme:

The young Global Citizens’ summit was organized by the British Council at the SAI International School in Bhubhaneshwar. This summit was attended by the students Anitya Ajmani, Kunal Venkat, Divya Tiwary and a Teacher Mr. K. Ashok Kumar of the D. B. M. S. English School. It was held from 26th of January to 29th of January, 2012.

There were twelve sessions of workshops which were organized. Out of these twelve workshops we attended eight workshops which are as follows:

The D. B. M. S. English School organised  an Inter School Spell Bee contest on 25th January, 2012. It was conducted by Mr. Siddharth Sen, English Teacher of Plus Two level. The spelling asked were interesting and simple but the children had to use their grey cells to crack them. The following Nine schools had participated in the contest:

  2. Little Flower School, Telco.
  3. Kerala Public School, Kadma.
  4. Gulmohur High School, Telco.
  5. Motilal Nehru Public School.
  6. Kerala Samajam Model School.
  7. Church School
  8. Loyola School  and
  9. D. B. M. S. English School.

 

We at DBMS encourage the students in extra-curricular activities in addition to, one of them being Film Making.

In the year 2010 we made the short film “VIJETA – The Winner” which was well appreciated. This year, it was ‘Nobody’s Child’, which was shot on 12th and 13th June and was screened for the film festival Shots – Take 5 Communication by Tathagata Bhattacharya, an ex-student and a budding director. The movie dealt with common problems of teenagers in daily life.
