As India attained 75 years of independence and to be a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the GK Club of DBMS English School celebrated it by organising the Mahasangh quiz for the young quizzers. The quiz was conducted to encourage the students to learn about our country India. The Quiz Master was Tilak Agarwal, an ex-student of our school. He was the former President of the GK Club also He was felicitated by the Middle school GK Moderator, Mrs Madhumita Dutta.

This event was attended by our Vice Principal Mr P.K.Sahu, teachers and students of 7th grade. We shortlisted 12 students out of 30 students after the preliminary round consisting of 10 questions given by our quiz master. The 12 quizzers were divided into 4 groups (named Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Patel, and Lala Lajpat Rai), each consisting of children of standards 5, 6 and 7. There were 3 rocking rounds and ended up with our top 3 teams.

The first position went to team Sardar Patel - Abhirup Biswas 7A, Mohammed Aayan Jahangir 6A, Debayan Chakraborty 5. 1st runners up team were Lala Lajpat Rai- Khushi 7D, Amitanshu Das 6B, Satwik Kashyap 5E. 2 Runners Up Team Were Bhagat Singh - Adarsh Ranjan 7D, Aditya Hirwani 6C, Aryaman Hazra 5B. Tilak Agarwal, Ipshita Chakraborty and Madhumita Dutta distributed certificates among the winners.
