Jamshedpur, Jan. 30: Did you know that the Namdhari Sikhs are forbidden to spend more than Rs 13 for their wedding, or that melody queen M.S. Subhalaxmi was the first Indian to perform at the UN General Assembly on UN Day?

These were just a couple of questions that kept all the six finalist teams from various school guessing at the 15th Seuli Seal Inter-school Contest held at the Dakshin Bharatiya Mahila Samaj English School (DBMS) today.Though Little Flower School walked away with the top honours, the hosts and Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) fought it out to emerge second. Sacred Heart Convent and Loyola followed, with both clinching the third slot.

As many as 19 teams from various schools competed for the trophy.

The event, for students of Classes V, VI and VII, has steadily climbed the popularity charts over the years, said the Vice-principal of DBMS, and added, "Students wait for this annual event, which is named after one of our students whom we lost in a fire accident."

Quizmaster Sanjay, the head of support system at Tata Steel, tested the students' intelligence with a slew of interesting questions.
