Q. Your association with the school.

A. I was a part of this institution as a student. Of all the things I remember, the one which is inscribed in my memory is the classes with Daniel Sir, the English singing teacher then, whose classes I used to enjoy a lot. I also activity took part of Hind as well as English singing. I passed out the school in the year 1995.

Q. In your view, how has the school changed?

A. The school has definitely overgrown than what I had expected it to be and renovation has also taken place. As I am returning alter a long time, I did expect some changes, but what it would be like was something I never imagined. I can also see that the school uniform has been changed.

Q. Your path to success?

A. Though it may sound a cliché, but it is the truth that hard work and proper concentration on what you are doing go hand in hand with success. One should love the work they are doing no matter what it is. With these steps success becomes inevitable. Till Std. XI have learnt music from many like Mrs. Burry and Shankari Mazumdar. They have contributed a lot to what I am today. Presently I am getting offers from Tamil and Malyalam films, and I’m learning music from Mira Sawar and Shreeram Parsuram. Following the adage old is gold, my inspiration has been Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

Q. Your association with the school?

A. I was born in Jamshedpur. I have been in D.B.M.S. from nursery till Std. X. I used to participate in singing and dancing while in school. I was the Secretary of the Jyoti Club and also the Vice-Captain of the Green House.

Q. In your view how has the school changed?

A. I am coming back to the school after 5-6 years. It is basically the same. Of course the new auditorium is excellent, Surprisingly the teachers and the aayas are still the same.

Q. Your path to success?

A. I would say my hard work and confidence paid off. After winning laurels for my school here, my talent was recognized in the Malhar College Fest. I graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta. I learnt music from Apte Guriji. I have sung in advertisements for products like BPL T.V., Videocon Washing Machine etc. I’ve done shows in Chennai.

Q. Your words of advice to students?

A. Decide for yourselves what you want to do. You should have the right aptitude and attitude. Recognize your talent and work towards your goal with determination.
