We at DBMS encourage the students in extra-curricular activities in addition to, one of them being Film Making.
In the year 2010 we made the short film “VIJETA – The Winner” which was well appreciated. This year, it was ‘Nobody’s Child’, which was shot on 12th and 13th June and was screened for the film festival Shots – Take 5 Communication by Tathagata Bhattacharya, an ex-student and a budding director. The movie dealt with common problems of teenagers in daily life.
SHOTS promotes short films and budding directors and actors of Jharkhand. “Nobody’s Child”- script written by Ms Sayantani Das - XI A and the actors were Shreen Mohanty in the lead role, Shreya Agarwal, Saz Mittal, Sayantani Das, Abha Kumari, Roshani Banerjee, Anmol Seth, Deep Shankar Guha, Ankit Agarwal.
The movie was screened at SNTI auditorium on 3rd July, 2011 and was appreciated by one and all, as we were the youngest, who competed with experienced film makers and college students.
