TATA Young Expression 2016
Anish Srivastava, of Std 2C, was placed first in the event “Shutterbugs”, at the TATA Young Expression 2016. He received his award from the TATA Group Chairman Mr Cyrus P Mistry, on 28th July 2016 at Taj Palace, Mumbai.
Waste Not, Want Not
The toddlers of KG-I, organized “Waste Not, Want Not”, a rally to generate awareness about the importance of food. They encouraged everyone to value food, recycle food, and to donate left overs to the poor and needy. They also collected dry food like biscuits and cakes for donation to the Voice of Humanity organization. The rally was flagged off at 10.30 am and was witnessed by students, teachers, parents and residents of the neighborhood.
ASISC Regional Swimming Championship 2016
DBMS English School hosted the ASISC Regional Swimming Championship 2016 at J.R.D Tata Sports Complex on the 30th of July 2016. The welcome address was given by Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal of the school and Treasurer of ASISC-Bihar & Jharkhand. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was Mr Christopher Agnelo Francis, Regional Secretary ASISC- Bihar & Jharkhand Region. The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Mr. Mukul Choudhari, Administrator-TFA & Sports, TATA Steel.Participants from all over Bihar & Jharkhand competed in a total of 32 events in junior and senior categories. Participants who were placed first and second will qualify for the ASISC National Swimming CHmapionship which will be held in Hyderabad in the month of November.
