Jamshedpur, June 14: Failed to pass matriculation exam and don’t want to lose the year? Opt for DBMS Career Academy and appear for the board test through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) this October.

“The NIOS has a very flexible system of learning that helps students to complete the matriculation without wasting an academic year. Students from boards like CBSE, ICSE or Jharkhand Academic Council can sit for the tests,” said K. Uma, the principal of DBMS Career Academy.

NIOS is an open school that caters to the needs of a heterogeneous group of learners up to pre-degree-level. It also provides opportunity to continue education at school-level.

At the secondary and senior secondary levels, NIOS provides flexibility in the choice of subjects or courses, pace of learning and transfer of credits from different boards like CBSE and state boards.

“If a candidate, who appeared for all the five subjects in the matriculation exam but failed or scored low in three of them, will have to write tests for those subjects only under NOIS. The marks of the other two subjects in which he fared well will be transferred from the board concerned,” said Uma.

The registration process will continue till July 20. The examinations are scheduled for early October.

The DBMS Career Academy has, however, performed well in its board examinations held in April. The results were announced on June 9 and 10 for senior secondary and secondary, respectively.
