D. B. M. S. English school hosted the 5th Inter School Maths Quiz Contest “NUMBER NINJAS” on 16th January 2023. This Quiz was launched as an initiative of our patron Mrs Bhanumathi Neelkantan.
The Quiz master for the day was Mr Rishav Mishra, an ex-student of D. B. M. S. English school who is currently pursuing B-Tech from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. This Quiz is for the students of Std. VII and VIII. 23 schools participated in the Preliminary round where their maths skills were tested over a wide spectrum. 6 teams qualified for the finals. They were:
- Carmel Junior College
- J.H.Tarapore School
- Kerala Samajam Model School
- Tarapore School, Agrico
- Hill Top School
- Rajendra Vidyalaya
This quiz comprised 5 rounds. The children were quizzed on a wide array of logical and challenging puzzles wherein their ability with numbers and problem solving skills were put to test.
The quiz was witnessed by our Patron, Chairpersons, Principal, Vice Principal and the Management members.
- Hill Top School emerged as the winner in a closely fought contest, with 100 points.
- The Second place was backed by K.S.M.S., with 60 points.
- In the third place was Tarapore School, Agrico with 40 points.
It was truly a fun, engaging and interactive Quiz which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.
