The DBMS English School hosted the CISCE Regional Table Tennis Championship on August 4th, 2023. This championship featured participants from both the Patna and Jamshedpur zones, totaling 54 students. The competition was divided into three categories: under 14 boys and girls, under 17 boys and girls, and under 19 girls. A notable alumnus of DBMS English School and renowned cricketer, Mr. Ishank Jaggi, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the championship by lighting the ceremonial lamp and raising the CISCE Sports Flag. Mrs. Priti Sinha, Principal of Gulmohur High School and Zonal Coordinator of the Jamshedpur Zone, and Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal of DBMS English School and Treasurer of CICSE Bihar and Jharkhand region, accompanied him.

The School's Managing Committee members, including Mrs. Bhanumathi Neelakantan as Patron, Mr. B. Chandrashekhar as Chairperson, Mrs. Archana Ramesh as Secretary, Mrs. Priya Nagarajan as Joint Secretary, and Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri as Treasurer, were present to motivate the participants. The sportsman's oath was taken by Archita Dey, a promising player from the Jamshedpur zone. The students of DBMS English School performed a welcoming dance, and Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar addressed the attendees. During the event, Mrs. Archana Ramesh and Mrs. Priya Nagarajan presented a memento to the Chief Guest and tokens of appreciation to other dignitaries. Mr. Ishank Jaggi encouraged the participants, emphasizing their path to success.

The closing ceremony's Chief Guest was Mrs. Priti Sinha, Principal of Gulmohur High School and Zonal Coordinator of CISCE Jamshedpur zone. Technical officials were acknowledged, and participants received medals and certificates. Mrs. Priti Sinha inspired the gathering, emphasizing the significance of excelling in sports. The Vice Principal of DBMS English School, Mr. P.K Sahu, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The championship concluded with the lowering of the CISCE sports flag. Throughout the event, the championship exemplified sportsmanship and camaraderie as players competed for esteemed positions.
