D.B.M.S English School hosted the Biswadeep Sarkar Memorial Inter School Environment quiz on 21st of September 2023.
This quiz is held every year in loving memory of Biswadeep, who was a student of our school. The quiz masters for the day were Std. XI and Std. XII students of D.B.M.S English School as the host school does not participate in the quiz. The school believes in promoting environmental awareness through this quiz and to make everyone aware of the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection.
The quiz is for students of Std. VIII, IX and X. 12 schools participated in the preliminary round. 5 teams qualified for the finals. They were-
- Narbheram Hansraj English School
- Rajendra Vidyalaya
- Sacred Heart Convent School
- Loyola School
- Little Flower School
The quiz comprised 5 rounds. The children were quizzed on a wide array of environment topics where in they had to exercise their wits to battle in out for the top spot. It was truly an infotainment quiz, which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.
The quiz was witnessed by the members of the D.B.M.S English School Management Committee, Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and Vice Principal Mr P. K. Sahu, without whose able guidance and encouragement hosting this quiz contest would not have been possible.
Narbheram Hansraj English School emerged as the winner in a closely fought contest with 100 points. The second place was bagged by Loyola School with 71 points. In the third place was Little Flower School with 70 points.
