The Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of Std. XII 2023-2024 was organized in D.B.M.S. English School on 19th January 2024. It was an evening illuminated by the celebration of the culmination of the academic journey of the outgoing batch of Std. XII at their esteemed institution.

The evening began with the academic procession led by the Principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Vice-Principal Mr. P.K. Sahu and the Plus Two Co-ordinator Mrs. Manisha Bhattacharya.

They were followed by the Class teachers, Subject Teachers and the students of Std. XII A, B, C, D.

The Chief Guest for this solemn occasion was Mr. Kunal Sarangi, a youth icon and a dynamic spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Mr. Kunal Sarangiwas joined by the members of the Managing Committee, Principal and Vice-Principal.

A prayer song seeking the blessings of the Almighty was presented by the school choir.

Thereafter, Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar presented her speech highlighting the achievements of the outgoing batch as well as encouraging the students to make an indelible mark in their chosen field, carrying the values instilled by their alma mater.

The Chief Guest, in his address to the gathering, inspired the students to keep striving for the best in order to excel in their chosen field.

The Chairperson Mr. B. Chandrashekhar motivated the students to their path of success.

Mr. Sourav Chakraborty, a senior teacher of the Plus Two level, presented his message to the students and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. Mrs. Shampa Dasgupta, a parent, addressed the gathering, reminiscing the fourteen years of joyful learning experienced by her ward at D.B.M.S. English School.

Thereafter, Sudhanshu Ojha of Std. XII A, Saptashwa Dasgupta of Std. XII B, Prodeepta Choudhary of Std. XII C and Hrishika Agarwal of XII D expressed their gratitude towards their esteemed institution. This was followed by the Special Awards, which were presented by the Chief Guest to the awardees.

Sri T.S. Ramaiah Shastrigal Shield, donated by Mr. R. Venkatraman for maximum contribution in Science Activities, was given to Samarth Pandey of Std. XII A.

The Special Recognition Award for Intellectual Brilliance, donated by Mrs. Indu Trehan, a former Maths teacher of our school, was shared by Priyanshu Chakraborty and Arunesh Gadia of Std. XII A.

The Vidyavati Bahadur Memorial Trophy for General Knowledge, donated by Mrs. Madhurani Sinha, a former teacher of our school, was bagged by Saptashwa Dasgupta of Std. XII B.

The Thomas Paul Memorial Shield for the Best Speaker in Plus Two level, donated by Mr. Siddharth Sen, a former Member of our teaching faculty, was shared by Anishka Jha of Std. XII A, Anant Jain and Namrata Shree of Std. XII B.

S. D. Singh Memorial Trophy, donated by the family members of Mr. S.D. Singh, was shared by VasudhaSah of Std. XII C, G. Meher Prateek, Harmanjeet Singh and Divyaan Jain of Std. XII A for their selfless contribution towards the community through their time, actions and dedication.

The Award for the Most Disciplined Outgoing Student, donated by Mrs. Prema Balasubramanian, Ex Vice Chairperson of the Central Managing Committee and the Ex Principal of D.B.M.S. English School, was given to Abhishek Roy of Std. XII B, who has always displayed good behavior and courteous manners at all times.

The Prestigious Principal’s Award was bagged by Samarth Pandey of Std. XII A, who has brought many laurels to the school, winning various national and international Science competitions, thus making the school proud.

This was followed by the distribution of Certificates and Mementoes to the students of the outgoing batch by the Chief Guest Mr. Kunal Sarangi, Chairperson Mr. B. Chandrashekhar, Secretary Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Joint Secretary Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Treasurer Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri, Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Vice-Principal Mr. P.K. Sahu, Co-ordinator of the Plus Two and the Class teachers.

The proceedings were concluded by the vote of thanks proposed by P. Khyatishree, a student of the D.B.M.S. English School, which was followed by the School Anthem and National Anthem sung by the School

choir.

The proud graduates bid adieu to their alma mater, pledging to carry the values learnt in school.
