DBMS English School celebrated young talent at its Annual English Recitation/Elocution/Prose/Declamation Contest held on November 20, 2024.
DBMS English School proudly organized its Annual English Recitation/Elocution/Prose/Declamation Contest, showcasing the exceptional public speaking talent of its students. Held on November 20, 2024, the event provided a platform for the young orators to demonstrate their eloquence, confidence, and creativity.
The contest saw enthusiastic participation from students across various grades (KG II to Std 12), each displaying exemplary public speaking skills. With poise and conviction, they recited poems, presented stories, and delivered compelling speeches on diverse topics, captivating the audience with their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives.
The Annual Elocution Contest aims to foster effective communication, creativity, and critical thinking among students. By providing a supportive environment, DBMS English School encourages its students to develop essential life skills, empowering them to express themselves confidently and articulately.
The panel of judges included Senior English Teachers: Mrs. Ritu Virdi of J.H. Tarapore School, Mrs. G. Padma of ADLS Sunshine School, and Mrs. Nupur Banerjee of Motilal Nehru Public School. The judges encouraged the students and congratulated them on their oratory skills, display of confidence, stage presence, and shared valuable tips with the students on improving their public speaking skills.
The prizes were given away by the Secretary- Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Joint-Secretary- Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Treasurer- Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri, Our Principal-Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, and Vice Principal- Mr. P.K. Sahu. Support and encouragement were provided by our Patron Mrs. Bhanumathi Neelakanthan and our Chairpersons Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar and Mr. B. Chandrashekhar.
