The Annual Prize Night of D.B.M.S. English School for the High School and the Plus Two Level was held on the 26th of April 2025. On this splendid occasion, the school reverberated with the remarkable achievements and exuberant spirit of the students in myriad fields of excellence.
The wonderful evening was graced by the presence of Professor Vishwa Ballabh, a Fellow of Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, Professor at XLRI.
Abhishek Pathak of Std. XII B, made the audience aware of the safety rules. The introduction of the programme was given by Ania Gupta of Std. XII D. This was followed by the academic procession of the rankers. The High School Coordinator, Mrs. Divya Nair, led the rankers of Standard VIII and IX. Mrs. Manisha Bhattacharya, Co-Ordinator of the Plus Two Level, led the rankers and Special Awardees of Std. X. Awardees of Standard XI, XII and General Special Awardees were led by the School Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and Vice-Principal Mr. P.K. Sahu.
The proceedings of the evening began with the welcome speech given by Ania Gupta, which was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest. This was followed by a beautiful prayer dance put up by our students.
The Chief Guest was introduced to the audience by Debangana Sen of Std XII B and a plant was presented to him as a token of appreciation. Thereafter, our *Honourable Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar* presented the school report highlighting the achievements of the school in varied fields of brilliance.
The Special Awardees were awarded by the Chief Guest and the Patron, Mrs. Bhanumathi Neelakanthan. The special awardees of various standards were recognized, with Priyanshu Chakraborty, Jahanvi Agarwal, Arunesh Gadia, Ifrah Samina, Shatam Chakraborty, Parnika Kumar, Satyam Kumar, Sagarika Sharma, and Anant Jain among the recipients.
This was followed by the Secretary’s Report, which was presented by Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Secretary of the School Managing Committee. After this, the rest of the awards were given away.
Thereafter, N.Vidisha, the Head girl of the School Senate, presented the Valedictory speech. On this grand occasion, two teachers were also felicitated by the *Chairperson, Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar* for their long service and commitment to the school. The proud recipients of this award were – Mrs. L. Durga Rao and Mrs. Archana Mishra.
Thereafter, the vote of thanks was proposed by Srishti Rani, a student of the school senate. This grand evening came to an end with the rendition of the school anthem and the academic procession leading out.
