DBMS English School wins IIM Jamshedpur's metallurgy quiz; DBMS, AIWC, Chinmaya to represent the chapter at the national level.

DBMS English School has once again proven its academic prowess, clinching the top honors at the 13th Prof. S. N. Sinha Memorial Materials & Metallurgy Quiz (SNSM3Q-2025). The prestigious event, organized by the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Jamshedpur Chapter, was held at CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML).

Our talented students, Rishit and Akarsh Raj of Class 11, showcased exceptional knowledge and secured the 1st Prize in this highly competitive quiz. The event, a tribute to the late Prof. S. N. Sinha, a visionary educator and former IIM Jamshedpur Chapter President, saw enthusiastic participation from 102 students across 29 schools.

AIWC Academy of Excellence emerged as the first runner-up, and Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya secured the second runner-up position, highlighting the academic talent present in Jamshedpur.

The quiz commenced with a written preliminary round, leading to a final stage contested by six schools, including DBMS Kadma High School, DAV Public School (Bistupur), Kerala Samajam Model School, alongside the top three.

This remarkable victory means that DBMS English School, along with AIWC Academy of Excellence and Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, will proudly represent the IIM Jamshedpur Chapter at the National Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Quiz 2025. The national level competition is scheduled to be held at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, on September 12–13, 2025.

The IIM Jamshedpur Chapter's initiative aims to raise awareness among students about the crucial role of materials science and metallurgy in industrial and technological advancements.
