DBMS English School organised the CISCE Regional Volleyball Tournament (For girls) on 7th and 8th August, 2025.
The Tournament comprised teams from Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, Ranchi and Dhanbad zones. The Tournament was divided into three categories - under 14, under 17 and under 19.
The Inauguration Ceremony was held on 7th August at 9:00 a.m. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mrs. Priyanka Singh, Deputy Election Officer, Deputy Collector, Jharkhand Administrative Service, East Singhbhum. The Chief Guest was accompanied by Mrs. Priti Sinha, the Zonal Co - ordinator of Jamshedpur Zone and Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal of DBMS English School who is also the Treasurer of CISCE Bihar and Jharkhand Region while lighting the inaugural lamp.
Prachi, a promising player of Jamshedpur Zone took the sportsman's oath. The students of DBMS English School presented a prayer song and showcased Yoga Display, highlighting the beauty, strength and balance of this ancient practice. Our Principal Madam and the Chief Guests addressed the gathering and motivated the participants to put in their best efforts to reach the top spot.
All the teams put in their best efforts and the final winners were:
- Under 14 - Bhagalpur Zone
- Under 17 - Bhagalpur Zone
- Under 19 - Dhanbad Zone
The awards were given away by Mrs. Nandini Shukla, Principal of Kerala Samajam Model School and the President of ASISC Bihar, Jharkhand who were the Chief Guests at the Closing Ceremony. Tokens of Appreciation were presented by Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Secretary of the School Managing Committee and Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri, Treasurer of the School Managing Committee The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and inspired the participants to excel in sports and laid emphasis on the importance of sports.The Tournament was finally concluded by lowering of the CISCE Sports flag.
