The Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of Std. XII 2025-2026 was organized in D.B.M.S. English School on 15th January, 2026.
The evening was a radiant celebration marking the triumphant culmination of the students’ academic journey at the institution.
The evening began with the academic procession led by the Principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and Vice-Principal Mr. P.K. Sahu. They were followed by the Class teachers, Subject Teachers and the students of Std. XII A, B, C & D.
The Chief Guest for this solemn occasion was Mrs. Chithra Sharma, Chief Commercial Engineering & projects, people manager for Engineering and projects, Tata Steel. In the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Mrs. Chithra Sharma was joined by the Chairpersons of the school Managing Committee, Mr. B Chandrashekhar and Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar, the members of the Managing Committee, Principal and Vice-Principal.
A prayer song seeking the blessings of the Almighty was presented by the school choir.
Thereafter, Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar presented her speech highlighting the achievements of the outgoing batch as well as encouraging the students to make an indelible mark in their chosen field, carrying the values instilled by their alma mater.
The Chief Guest, in her address to the gathering, inspired the students to keep striving for the best in order to excel in their chosen field.
The Chairperson Mr. B. Chandrashekhar motivated the students to achieve their dreams and aspire to be the true gems of society.
Mr. Ramesh Agrawal, a Mathematics teacher of the High School & Plus Two level presented his message to the students and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. Mr. Vishal Trehan a parent addressed the gathering reminiscing the fourteen years of joyful learning experienced by his ward at D.B.M.S. English School.
Thereafter, Shafaque Ahmad Raza Khan of Std. XII A, Rounak Rani of Std. XII B, Ashna Kabra of Std. XII C and Siddhi Nagelia of Std. XII D expressed their gratitude towards their esteemed institution. This was followed by the Special Awards which were presented by the Chief Guest to the awardees.
Sri T.S Ramaiah Shastrigal Shield is donated by Mr R. Venkatraman for maximum contribution to Science Activities. This coveted award went to Nashit Akhtar of Std XII B.
The Special Recognition Award for Intellectual Brilliance is donated by Mrs Indu Trehan, a former Maths Teacher of our school. This coveted award went to Mayank Raj of Std XII A.
The Vidyavati Bahadur Memorial Trophy for General Knowledge is donated by Mrs Madhurani Sinha, a former teacher of our school, in loving memory of her mother. This year the award went to Mayank Raj of XII A.
The Thomas Paul Memorial shield for Best Speaker in Plus Two Level is donated by Mr Siddharth Sen, a former Member of our teaching faculty. The recipients of this award were Richa Arvind Singh and Ania Gupta of Std XII D.
The M.N. Goon Memorial Trophy for the BEST ARTIST in the senior level is donated by Mrs Ishita Gupta Smith. This coveted award went to Rumela Gupta of Std XII B.
The “SPECIAL TALENT RECOGNITION AWARD” donated by Mr Arun Sodera, is awarded to a student who exhibits outstanding talent in music, dance, dramatics and Fine arts. This coveted award went to Richa Arvind Singh of Std XII D.
The Award for the Most Disciplined Outgoing Student is donated by Mrs Prema Balasubramanian Ex Vice Chairperson of the central managing committee and the Ex Principal of D.B.M.S English School in memory of her beloved mother Mrs Tulsi Narayan. This esteemed Award was shared by Puranjay Muraraka of Std XII C and Siddhi Nagelia of Std XII D.
*The Prestigious Principal's Award was awarded to Harshit Vig* of Std XIID for displaying exemplary dedication, discipline, and devotion towards bringing glory to his alma mater.
This was followed by the distribution of Certificates and Mementos to the students of the outgoing batch by the Chief Guest Mrs. Chithra Sharma, Chairpersons Mr. B. Chandrashekhar and Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Secretary Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Joint Secretary Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Treasurer Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri, Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Vice- Principal Mr. P.K. Sahu, Co-ordinators of the Plus Two and the High School Level as well as the Class teachers.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Vritti Agarwal, a student of the D.B.M.S. English School which was followed by the School Anthem and National Anthem sung by the School choir.
The Academic procession led out solemnly. The proud graduates bid adieu to their alma mater pledging to carry the values learnt in school.
