The Annual Prize Night of D.B.M.S. English School for the year 2025-26 was held on 17th April 2026.

The special occasion was graced by the presence of the honourable Chief Guest, Mrs. Priti Sinha, Principal of Gulmohur High School.

The proceedings of the evening commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by the academic procession of the rankers.

Mrs. Sudha Dutta, Coordinator of the Primary Level, led the Special Awardees of KG-I to Std-III. Mr. Sourav Mukherjee, Coordinator of the Middle School Level, led the rankers of Std-IV to Std-VII. The Special Awardees of Std-IV to Std-VII were led by the Principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and the Vice Principal, Mr. P.K. Sahu.

This prestigious moment was followed by a welcome address and a beautiful prayer dance.

The Chief Guest was then introduced and presented with a sapling. This was followed by the Principal's Report. The Honourable Principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, highlighted the achievements of the school in various fields of excellence.

The most awaited moment of the evening then arrived for the proud awardees. The awards for the Primary children were divided into four categories: The Most Outstanding Student, the Most Persevering Student, the Bright Spark Award, and "A Student for Others".

The students of KG-I and KG-II were awarded by Mrs. Sudha Dutta, Coordinator of the Primary Level.

The rankers of Std-I and Std-ll were awarded by Mr. Sourav Mukherjee, Coordinator of the Middle School.

The students of Std-III and Std-IV A and B were awarded by Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri, Treasurer.

Std-IV C, D and E students were awarded by Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Joint Secretary.

This was followed by the Secretary's Report, presented by Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Joint Secretary.

The rankers of Std-V A, B and C were awarded by Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Secretary.

The rankers of Std-V D and E and Std-VI A were awarded by Dr. B. Chandrasekhar, Chairperson.

The rankers of Std-VI B, C and D were awarded by Mrs. Lalitha Chandrasekhar, Chairperson of the School Managing Committee.

The rankers of Std-VI E and Std-VII A and B were awarded by Mr. P.K. Sahu, Vice Principal.

Mrs Rajani Shekhar awarded the students of Std-VII C, D and E.

The Special Awards were given by the Chief Guest.

The award to the student who has excelled against all odds was given to Utkarsh Bhattacharjee of Std-IV E.

Award for the Best Student of Std- II who has secured the highest marks in the academic year was given to Kinjal Roy Chowdhary of Std-II A.

The award for the Best Student of Std - III was given to Abhigyan Singh of Std-III C.

The award for the Overall Best Performer of Std. IV was given to Shreenika Chandra Std-IV B.

The Best Student award of Std- V went to Sanchay Singh Panoo of Std-V D.

The Best Student of Std-VI was given to Aadrik Ganguly of Std-VI E.

The award for the Best Student of Std-VII was given to Manraj Singh Bindra of Std-VII E.

The award for securing the highest marks in Mathematics in std VII went to Rishabh of Std-VII D.

The award for Proficiency in Sanskrit was shared by Harsh Mandal of Std-VII A and Manraj Singh Bindra of Std-VII E.

The award for Proficiency in Bengali went to Mridul Choudhury of Std-VII C.

The award for the Most Disciplined Student in the Middle School Level was shared by Ariba Fatima of Std-IV D and Aradhya Chandra of Std-VII C.

The Perseverance Award was given to Yuvika Agarwal of Std-VI D.

The trophy for the Best Maintained Class went to Std- VI C.

The trophy for the Best Disciplined Class went to KG-I E.

Students were also recognised for designing the backdrop of the Annual Prize Night for the Academic Session 2025-2026.

After the award distribution, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering with a motivating and enlightening speech.Thereafter she was presented with a memento by Dr. B. Chandrasekhar, Mrs. Lalitha Chandrasekhar and Mrs. Rajani Shekhar as a token of appreciation and gratitude.

The evening programme concluded with the vote of thanks, followed by the rendition of the School Anthem and the academic procession leading out.
