Lives of great men all remind us…
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
It was with this spirit that the school bid adieu to Principal Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, who had nurtured and guided the institution for more than two decades. Once again, everyone gathered, and a medley of emotions filled the hall before the commencement of the programme. As always, punctual as ever, the Principal arrived on time, and her words of greeting renewed our vigour, just as a monarch’s words kindle a spark among his soldiers.
The event began with a journey down memory lane, where Madam’s association with the institution was showcased on the big screen. Every photograph and short video clip was a nugget of inspiration for us. Thereafter, it was overwhelming to hear the eminent educators of the town speak highly of our esteemed Principal. Some teachers expressed their reverence through songs that filled the hall with nostalgic emotions. The impromptu speeches by the teachers were a potpourri of feelings that left the eyes filled with admiration and the ears longing to listen more.
The showering of good wishes upon our Principal marked the conclusion of the programme. A feeling of admiration filled the assembly as she was felicitated, and her farewell words left us with a yearning to see her again.
