D.B.M.S. English School proudly hosted the inaugural edition of Curiosity Carnival – the Primary Inter-School Quiz on 25th August, 2026, providing a platform for young learners from Classes I to III to showcase their knowledge, curiosity and quick thinking.
Designed especially for primary school students, the quiz encouraged children to explore, think and learn beyond the classroom.
The quiz was conducted by our teacher Ms. Shalini Paul and Rishit, a student of Class XII of D.B.M.S. English School. Staying true to the spirit of fairness, the host school did not compete, thereby providing an impartial platform for participating schools.
The preliminary round saw participation from 20 schools, with the following six teams making it to the grand finale:
- Andhra Association English School
- D.A.V. Public School (NIT)
- J.H. Tarapore School
- Kerala Samajam Model School
- Narbheram Hansraj English School
- R.M.S High School, Balichela
The grand finale featured engaging, age-appropriate rounds that tested the young quizzers on general awareness, observation, reasoning, memory and quick thinking. The participants displayed confidence, knowledge and a keen interest in learning throughout the competition.
The event was graced by the D.B.M.S. Management Committee and supported by the Principal, Mr. P.K. Sahu, and Vice Principal, Ms. Divya Nair, Primary Co-ordinator Mrs. Sudha Dutta whose guidance contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
The inaugural Curiosity Carnival proved to be more than a quiz—it celebrated the natural curiosity of young minds and encouraged them to question, explore, think and learn, laying the foundation for a meaningful annual platform for primary school quizzers.
After a closely contested finale, Narbheram Hansraj English School emerged as the winner with 271 points. D.A.V. Public School, (NIT) secured second position with 253 points, while R.M.S High School, Balichela secured third position with 211 points.
The winning teams were felicitated for their knowledge, dedication and sporting spirit, bringing the inaugural edition of Curiosity Carnival to a fitting close.
